Hawai'i Farmers Union

MEMBERSHIP

Why Join HFU?

The best way to add your voice in support of our advocacy and educational outreach is to become a member. Whether a farmer, gardener or just someone who values locally produced food, your membership makes a difference to our legislative endeavors and our grantors who fund our educational outreach.

You don’t have to be a farmer to join the union. When you join HFU, you gain access to a variety of member benefits, services, and discounts while helping strengthen Hawaiʻi’s local food system. If you’re not already a member, you can join today for just $50 per year - less than $1 a week to support family farmers, expand sustainable agriculture, and help ensure the next generation of farmers will be there to grow the food, fuel, and fiber we all depend on.

HFU truly is dedicated to regenerative and local agriculture. Being a part of HFU puts me in contact with like minded farmers and farmers-to-be through the FAM program and helps me to share my experience with the broader community.

To me, being part of the Farmers Union isn’t just about farming. It’s about growing as a person, staying connected to the land, and being part of a movement that is greater than ourselves and greater than this generation. It’s about farming through relationships instead of alone.

Farmers Union Member since 2015

The Union is a true family. A true gathering of folks doing the right thing at immense personal cost. I can’t tell you how good it feels to be in service with you for this higher good we are doing. These folks give me hope for the next seven generations.
