Hawai'i Farmers Union Webinar Series:

Ep 1 Post Storm Food Safety What Farmers Need to Know

Hawaiʻi Farmers Union (HFU), in partnership with the North Shore Economic Vitality Partnership (EVP), recently hosted a free webinar on post-storm food safety to help farmers navigate crop safety and recovery following severe weather events.

The webinar covered key considerations for assessing crop exposure, determining what can and cannot be harvested for consumption, implementing best practices for managing storm-affected fields, and understanding important food safety regulations.

Featured presenters Lisa Rhoden, Executive Director of Hawaiʻi GroupGAP, and Christian Zuckerman, HFU Vice President, HFUF CFO, and HFU Oʻahu Waiʻanae Chapter President, shared practical guidance and answered participant questions during a live Q&A.

Mahalo to everyone who joined us as we continue working together to support Hawaiʻi's farming community with timely education and resources.
